Most gates on a property are manual and compact: the side-yard gate, the path gate, the one the bins go through. They see more use than anything else on the fence, so they need to be built to last.
We build them on braced frames rather than nailing boards to a rail, add an extra hinge on heavier gates, and set the latch at a comfortable height for the people who use it every day.
